Adam graduated Antioch College with degrees in International Affairs and Journalism in 1983.</p>
<p>Adam was the creator and writer/ producer of &ldquo;Edu-tainment&rdquo; television programs for teens that aired on network television and PBS including, <em>Africa/U.S.A.: The Connection</em> and <em>The World Connection</em> in the early nineties.&nbsp; Adam was also the co-creator and writer/producer of the nationally syndicated hip-hop music video show <em>Phat Traks</em>.</p>
<p><em>Sleep Deprivation Chamber</em>, a collaboration with his mother, playwright Adrienne Kennedy was presented by the Signature Theater Company at the Joseph Papp Public Theater in 1996. The play was directed by Michael Khan and won the Obie Award for Best New American Play and was nominated by Ohio State University for the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.</p>
<p>In 1997, Adam along with Karen Lauder and Marcus Ticotin, founded Abandon Entertainment, a television and movie company that produced the feature films <em>Oxygen</em> and <em>Scotland PA</em> and a made for TV movie on TNT, <em>Thrill Seekers</em>.</p>
<p>In addition to his writing, in 2004 Adam started Kennedy Publishing with his wife, painter, Renee Kennedy. Kennedy Publishing publishes the <em>Best of Artists and Artisans</em> book series and the <em>Chronicling Greatness</em> Series. <a href="http://www.bestofartists.com/">www.bestofartists.com</a> is a top art content site.</p>
<p>In 2007 Kennedy Publishing won the Pen Oakland Josephine Miles Award for excellence in literature for <em>Mom, How Did You Meet the Beatles</em>, one of the books in the CG series. A 3 week theatrical run of the Beatles material launched the Public Lab Series at the Public Theatre in New York City.</p>
<p>He is the 2007 recipient of the Alumni Mentor Awards for Activism in Social Justice and the Arts from Manhattan Country School.</p>
